Sawkings Architects were appointed for the development of a proposal for dormer additions and minor sensitive exterior wall and roof finishes, repairs, alterations and refurbishments to an existing dwelling in a Conservation Area.

The proposal aims to make repairs to the existing structural damage and finishes to the building. The repairs will address structural and finishes issues and help ensure the longevity of the building. These will also improve the state of the existing house, bringing it in line with the inhabitants’ needs and contemporary living standards.

The use of the building can further be enhanced by making the living space within the loft viable through the addition of dormers. It is the combination of all proposed works that will ensure the dwelling suits the family’s needs, thus ensuring the property’s continued use and maintenance.
